Privacy notice
This page explains what information may be collected when you request a quote or book a journey through Canterbury Airport Transfers & Travel.
Who controls your information
Canterbury Airport Transfers & Travel is the data controller for personal information used to provide this service.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@canterburyairporttravel.co.uk or call 07343 050184.
Information we collect
- Name, phone number and email address.
- Pick-up and drop-off locations, dates, times, flight details, passenger and luggage information, and booking notes.
- Messages you send when requesting a price, making or changing a booking, or asking for support.
- Payment status and transaction references where needed, but not complete card details.
- Basic technical and security information such as IP address, browser details and submission timestamps.
- Aggregate website-use information such as the landing page, broad referral source, device category and whether a booking form or contact link was used. Form-field contents are not included in these analytics.
We use session-only browser storage to keep the first landing page and broad referral source while you move between pages. It is removed when the browser session ends and is not used for advertising.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
- To provide prices, arrange journeys, confirm bookings and communicate about the service. We use this information to take steps at your request and to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting, licensing and other records where this is necessary to comply with legal obligations.
- To administer the business, measure whether the booking journey works, improve useful pages, prevent fraud, protect the website and resolve complaints. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a safe, effective and reliable transfer service.
We do not sell personal information or use booking details for unrelated marketing.
Who we may share it with
We share only what is reasonably necessary with a driver assigned to the journey, and with providers supporting website hosting, email, communications, payments, accounting or IT security. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or needed to establish or defend legal claims.
If information is processed outside the UK, we require a legally recognised safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protection.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months so we can answer follow-up questions and investigate delivery or security problems.
- Confirmed booking, payment and accounting records may be kept for up to 7 years where needed for tax, legal, insurance or complaint handling.
- Aggregate website funnel reports are normally kept for up to 14 months. First-touch booking attribution is retained with the related booking record and contains no customer identity or contact fields.
- Short-term security and rate-limit records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to protect the service, unless an incident requires longer retention.
Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Some rights can be limited where information must be retained by law or for legal claims.
Contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
